A Mississippi family was terrorized by two car thieves – one of whom opened fire on them as they cowered in fear – and it was all caught on camera!
The dramatic incident happened in front of the West Jackson home. Heather Allen last Friday night when two attackers approached her and her relatives in the driveway.
Ring camera video captured the frightening moment a suspect raised a gun and fired into the air as Allen and his son said goodbye to other family members sitting in a parked car.
Check out the footage obtained by WAPT News… After the gunfire, Allen and his youngest son quickly hid behind the side of the vehicle while the shooter and his accomplice calmly walked toward them.
Allen told WAPT she raised her hands and shouted, “Hey, hey, hey,” before one of the robbers “shot me down.”
Meanwhile, inside the automobile were Allen’s oldest son, daughter and two grandchildren. The thieves removed some from the car – pointing the gun at Allen’s eldest son while shouting, “Give me the keys.”
But Allen was more concerned about her grandchildren when her daughter screamed, “My babies are inside” — and ended up rescuing them from the back seat.
Allen then took out the keys to his own vehicle, which was parked nearby on the lawn. She threw the keys to the suspects, who fled in her car.
The Jackson Police Department began an investigation and found Allen’s abandoned car about two blocks away.
Car thieves are still on the loose. Hopefully the cops will catch them soon.
