What imaginary car feature do you wish existed?

We live in a world where automotive technology Not only cool but also wildly futuristic. Some cars have the capacity to handle the majority of driving duties while others develop more power than ever before. And yet, the world of fictional, or imaginary, the car is much more successful than anything we could invent in the real world. What imaginary features of a car do you wish were real?

Personally, I would like to be able to channel the sound of a horn into the cabin of another car.

I know many people who say they rarely use their horn to honk at other drivers. I’m not one of those people. I may live in Texas, but my heart lies firmly in the throes of New York traffic, and I will honk my horn at any motherfucker who dares to cross me, because I want them to know that they are terrible, shitty drivers . .

However, I’m not a total sadist. I would prefer not to disturb my fellow drivers with the prolonged honking (because I’m not a gesture type of girl; I’m a aggressive long press no one), and I definitely don’t want to bother the nice local people who haven’t done anything to bother me on the road. I really wish I could honk my horn directly at the horrible offender behind the wheel.

I admit that I’m not an engineer, so I’m not really sure how it would be possible to project your horn onto a single car. Maybe all new cars should have transponders, and I can blast a Bluetooth horn directly into the cockpit of the guy who just merged in front of me with no signal. Maybe we could press an H button on our steering wheel, and a little Homing Device would be launched from our Mach 5 and honk your horn at a shitty driver’s window. Perhaps we could harness the power of a sonic boom, but on a much smaller, horn-related scale. We have the technology, I’m sure.

But I’m sure many of you have imaginations that extend beyond thinking about how much you can annoy your fellow drivers. I’m sure the avid readers of Jalopnik-dot-com can imagine a suite of incredible automotive features that currently only exist in dreams. Drop them in the comments section; maybe an enterprising engineer will make your dream come true.
