Want early access to Diablo 4? Your best bet might be a chocolate shop in London (yes, really)

Well, they say the road to hell is paved with bloody candy…right?

Have you ever wondered what a “terrifying 18+ immersive goremet demon chocolate emporium” looks like? Well, ask yourself to know more, because – if you’re from London and have a few free hours ahead – you might be about to find out.

Hell really is other people, huh?

To celebrate the launch of Diablo 4, this particular new cocoa-based facility is opening in central London and will be available for people to descend and investigate from Saturday June 3 (11 a.m. – 7 p.m.) and Sunday June 4 (12 p.m. – 5 p.m.).

Nicknamed “Lilith & Co.” in a nod to the game’s iconic – and diabolical – big bad, the publicity stunt is being marketed as “a deliciously wicked chocolate factory” that fuses the game’s dark magic with the dark chocolate of sculptor and trained chocolatier, Sarah Hardy.

A veteran of the Edible Museum, Hardy has created stunning chocolate sculptures and hoisted them onto displays throughout the emporium – including large-scale Diablo characters, weapons and iconography you’d be forgiven for thinking she had. summoned via Diablo’s homeland, Sanctuary…albeit with a kind of chocolate trasmorg effect.

Maybe you want to pick up “life-size chocolate human skulls and femurs”, or maybe you fancy something more profane and forbidden – something like Demon Hearts or chocolate runes.

Goremet food at its best?

Fittingly, prices start at £6.66. 100% of sales will benefit SpecialEffect, a gaming charity that transforms the lives of people with physical challenges.

… but that’s not all. “The emporium is just the beginning of the horror that awaits us as participants will also gain access to a secret room where the true evil of Diablo IV comes to life,” a press release teases. “As guests venture deeper into the bowels of the emporium, they’ll discover the dedicated play area in the store stash where attendees can play Diablo IV ahead of its official release, immersing players in the world Game.”

You must be at least 18 years old to participate, and you must turn up at Lilith & Co. 15 Bateman Street, London, W1D 3AQ at the times listed above for a chance to get your hands on the game early. I’m planning on heading to the experience myself to let you know what’s going on at this particular launch event – and I’ll be sure to let you know if I make it out alive.

Diablo 4 will be available on Windows PC, Xbox and PlayStation from June 6, 2023.
