In July 2023, UK noted a decline in clothing imports, decreasing 25.36 per cent year-on-year to £1.245 billion, and textile fabric imports fell 12.17 per cent to £476 million.
Despite a near-steady month-on-month trend, July also saw a dip in fibre imports, dropping to £34 million.
During the first half of 2023, clothing imports amounted to £7.838 billion.
