Actor Salman Khan received a threatening letter from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, his team said and filed a complaint with Bandra police.

Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, currently being held in a Punjab prison, is the suspected mastermind behind the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala.

The threatening letter was sent Saturday afternoon and was received at the actor’s office in the city. He said Goldy Brar – a Canadian-based mobster and close associate of Lawrence Bishnoi – wanted to talk to the actor.

Besides Bishnoi and Brar, the First Information Report names one Rohit Garg.

The FIR was registered under Sections 120-B (Punishment for Criminal Conspiracy), 506-II (Punishment for Criminal Intimidation) and 34 (Common Intent) under the Indian Penal Code.

The email, written in Hindi, said Salman Khan must have seen Lawrence Bishnoi’s recent news channel interview, and if not, he should see it.

Mumbai cops said they were reviewing the email.

This is not the first time that the actor has been threatened by the gangster.

In 2018, as the deer poaching trial was underway, Lawrence Bishnoi said Salman Khan had hurt the feelings of the Bishnois, a sect that has the love of animals among its tenets, by hunting a deer – a charge that the actor was ultimately acquitted.

In November last year, the Maharashtra government decided that the Mumbai Police would provide Y+ level security cover to Salman Khan – a two-tier upgrade – in light of recent threats allegedly made against him. made by the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.

Salman Khan also had private security for years. He is followed by his main guard, Gurmeet Singh alias Shera.
