OKLAHOMA

Kevin Sperry

If the quarterback’s play at camp Sunday was any indication, the Sooners will continue to be in good hands. Four-star Michael Hawkins was the MVP for the position and Kevin Sperry, a three-star hired in 2025, was also one of the best QBs in the event.

Wide receiver Andrew Marsh, a four-star in the 2025 class, was also outstanding and one of the biggest stars was 2025 four-star offensive lineman Michael Fasusi, who praised the position coach. Bill Bedenbaugh.

Four-star linebacker Kelvion Riggins, who looks like he was chiseled in stone, was wearing Oklahoma gloves and it looks like a two-team race between the Sooners and Texas A&M, and then many defensive backs, including Zadian Gentry, also praised the OU.

Even four-star defensive lineman Dominick McKinley of Lafayette (La.) Acadiana announced good news for the Sooners as he plans to visit Norman in June. There are rumors that Oklahoma may be higher in recruiting than some people think.

PENN STATE

Kiandrea Barker

Kiandrea Barker

If there was one out-of-region school that at least a few top prospects were talking about during camp, it was Penn State.

2025 four-star running back Kiandrea Barker won the MVP award and he said he loves the Nittany Lions so much because it’s RBU and he could be the next big back in their backfield.

Another player to watch with Penn State is 2025 four-star Quanell X Farrakhan Jr., as he has the Nittany Lions, Tennessee and TCU as his top three favorites. A recent visit to Happy Valley definitely impressed him.

Although Penn State is a long shot for 2025 four-star OL Michael Fasusi, he mentioned the power of the Big Ten because he could go there as well. For a team that doesn’t recruit heavily in Texas, Penn State was mentioned often.

TEXAS

Michael Fasusi

It’s no surprise that many high-profile prospects raved about Texas before camp and then went on the field once things warmed up.

During the offensive and defensive line portion early in the day, 2025 four-star offensive lineman Michael Fasusi dominated and he visits Austin this weekend. He was very complimentary of the coach Steve Sarkisian and especially coaching position Kyle Flood while the Longhorns remain in the mix.

On the defensive line, four-star rusher Dakyus Brinkley said Texas was one of his favorites despite still feeling early in his recruiting. Four-star Dominick McKinley didn’t attend camp, but he plans to be in Austin in June as part of four visits, which can’t be bad news either.

Two receivers have also been praised for Texas — and the Longhorns are heavily involved in both — as 2025 four-star standouts Andrew Marsh and Taz Williams Jr. are two of the state’s top rookies this cycle.

TEXAS A&M

Dealyn Evans

Dealyn Evans

One of the best players in the whole camp was Dealyn Evans on the defensive line as he looks like a future star at College Station as he is already committed to the Aggies. Evans was unstoppable, especially inside, but the Longview (Texas) standout Pine Tree also looked good coming off the rim.

Many other elite prospects have mentioned Texas A&M as the Aggies continue to recruit well and just need to turn the corner with their performance on the field.

Remaining on defense, 2025 four-star rusher Kamauryn Morgan has Texas A&M and Texas Tech as his top two and 2025 four-star linebacker Kelvion Riggins has A&M and Oklahoma at the top of his list.

Four-star Dominick McKinley heads to College Station in June 2025. Physical linebacker Elijah Barnes has spoken highly of the Aggies and another prospect to watch for Texas A&M is three-star OL Coen Echols of Katy, Texas.

TEXAS TECHNOLOGY

Remember Ofili

Remember Ofili

Second year coach Joey McGuire brought excitement back to Texas Tech and Sunday’s camp, as evidenced by some of the Red Raiders’ hottest prospects.

Cheta Ofili, a three-star high commit, was one of the most intriguing prospects at the event as he worked as an edge rusher and also had the speed to play in space. He has grown physically but lean so adding mass to compete in the Big 12 will be a priority.

At the time, three-star offensive lineman Jacob Ponton was not attached to Texas Tech, but he has size, length and power on the outside and he also had an impressive performance. Coen Echols and Kamauryn Morgan were two other state rookies who spoke highly of the Red Raiders, but not the only ones.
