The 2024 NBA Draft is fast approaching and there’s one storyline that’s being talked about more than the others.

Bronny James has officially put his name in the hat for this year’s draft, giving him a potential opportunity to enter the league.

His college career didn’t go as well as many hoped, so it came as a surprise to many fans that he declared for the draft.

Despite some early criticism of his decision, James began participating in the NBA Combine, which turned heads in more ways than one.

Some analysts have indicated that James has outperformed in college, while others have been more critical of his performance thus far.

Punter Johnny Hekker decided to weigh in with his thoughts in a recent tweet, saying that “Bro’s capture and release takes 2-3 business days.”

Although it was probably said in jest, Hekker’s response has been viewed more than five million times on Twitter.

Fans and analysts on both sides of the issue reacted accordingly, with many people criticizing Hekker’s views.

It will be interesting to see how James’ NBA career plays out and whether he makes Hekker eat his words.

His father is considered one of the best players in the history of the league, which largely explains James’ fame thus far.

If he can play well, he will not only silence doubters like Hekker, but he will also prove to himself that he is not just resting on his father’s laurels and is a genuinely good basketball player .
