The Chicago White Sox have been without their closest All-Star right-hander Liam Hendriks this season.
The right-handed veteran was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma in January.
Since then, Hendriks has made a ton of progress and is now cancer free.
The White Sox have not had a record season to date, starting with a 21-31 record.
Soon, the struggling White Sox could come together.
On Friday, MLB insider Jon Morosi stopped by MLB Network for a closer chat about the White Sox.
There, Morosi provided the latest update on the right-hander and where things stand in terms of recovery.

With Hendriks now cancer-free, Morosi told Robert Flores he predicts the three-time All-Star and two-time American League MVP will be back very soon.
Morosi revealed that Hendriks will host a live batting practice at Comerica Park on Friday before the White Sox’s second game with the Detroit Tigers in their four-game weekend series.
The live BP session will be heavily watched, as Morosi said.
If all goes well, the closer veteran could be activated in the next few days.
It would be a major boost for the White Sox, who haven’t had a great start to the season.
At 10 games under the .500 mark, some are already wondering if the South Siders could kick off the season and sell at the trade deadline.
But with plenty of season left, Hendriks’ return could help the White Sox turn things around and start winning even more games.
