The PR firm and Twitter severed ties on November 16, three weeks after Musk acquired the companybut the firm says Twitter still owes $830,498 on six unpaid invoices, Reuters reported.
The PR firm told the outlet that Twitter stopped responding to its payment requests, instead sending an automated promise to “start processing it immediately.”
it is not the first time Twitter has been accused of not paying for a servicewith at least 10 suppliers filing lawsuits against the company since the chief Twit bought the company for $44 billion in October.
Three ex-executives including ex-CEO Parag Agrawal sue Twitterclaiming that the company has reneged on its obligation to reimburse them over $1 million in legal fees. Bloomberg also reported that Twitter is behind on more than $10 million in payments to numerous small businesses, from PR to branded products.
These smaller vendors reported that at some point they stopped receiving personal responses from Twitter’s Accounts Payable department. “Eventually it was clearly just a bot hitting us back with the same answer over and over again,” Norma Miller, CEO of White Coat Captioning told Bloomberg.
Other businesses and owners also accused Twitter of owing money in recent months and filed their own lawsuits. The UK’s Crown Estate took Twitter to court over unpaid rent at the company’s London headquarters in January. The owner of Twitter’s San Francisco headquarters has also filed a lawsuit over alleged unpaid rent bills.
