Eric Wynalda — a former U.S. men’s national team soccer star — has been named in a battery report involving a teen … but we hear he’s calling BS on the allegations.
According to a Vegas police report obtained by TMZ, Wynalda — who was coaching her son’s club team in a recent tournament — allegedly exchanged words with a player from the other team … who allegedly told cops that Wynalda had called him a “slut”. “, insulted his mother and more.

The player told police that he and the coach came face to face and he (meaning the child) ended up shoving the coach… which led to a fight between the two parties. The teen claims he got scratched in the middle of it all… but said he doesn’t know if it was EW or the players.
Anyway…a parent on the team ended up calling 911 afterward to report all of this.
TMZ obtained video of the alleged incident … which sources tell us all started after they say an opposing player took out Eric’s son with a serious foul.

We’re told young Wynalda was sidelined for the rest of the match… and that the opposing players allegedly started talking trash to EW – who ignored them and just wanted to continue the match.
The video then shows one player approaching Wynalda and shoving him while another appears to throw a ball which hits him in the face. Our Eric sources say he kept his cool during the incident and didn’t assault anyone despite the battery report…and FWIW, the video seems to back that up.
Eric is something of a legend in the world of American soccer…he bounced around the United States and abroad for nearly two decades and scored 34 goals in 106 appearances with the United States Men’s National Team between 1990 and 2000.
We reached out to Eric’s rep who declined to comment.
