Rani Mukerji is a mother of a daughter Adira Chopra. Rani and Aditya Chopra welcomed a baby girl in December 2015. In a recent interview, Rani opened up about managing her career and being a parent. Rani talks about making sacrifices as a parent and as a professional. On the other hand, Rani also shares how Adira already understands.
Rani Mukerji explains how Adira is an understanding girl
Rani Mukerji has been making headlines lately because of the release of her movie Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway. However, she made entertainment news for her revelation about Adira and parenthood. In an interview with India Today, Rani shares that the pandemic was a blessing in disguise as Adira started home schooling which made travel easier. However, now things are different. Adira is now in 1st grade and will soon go to 2nd grade. And making a movie now that she’s grown up would be pretty tough.
Rani says now Adira can’t tidy the school anymore. She adds that she needs to start getting stronger to be away from her daughter. Adira must also be ready to be away from her mother because of filming. Rani says she will see what happens in the future. The actress shares that she will only do one movie a year because she wants to go home and spend time with her daughter. Rani also wants to help Adira with her homework.

Rani shares that she feels grateful to be in a position where she can play her schedule. However, there are times when she has no choice but to return home. Rani says that when working in a professional environment, you have to be prepared for certain sacrifices. She says that’s when you have to make your child understand. “In my case, Adi and I are working parents, so Adira has a good upbringing understanding that she has two working parents,” she says.
