The cow that roamed the streets of the Chicago area after a high school prank fell flat has been given a new name.

The Hooved Animal Humane Society (HAHS) of Woodstock, Ill., took the ox into custody after the animal was captured by law enforcement, according to a news release issued by the police department. of Niles.

The animal care team asked their followers to help name the cow and drop name suggestions in the comments section.

After receiving hundreds of submissions, the winning name was drawn on May 8 — Blossom.
