Watch: Staff members of the German Embassy in India dance to RRR’s Naatu Naatu

RRR’s Oscar-winning song Naatu Naatu has taken the world by storm. Currently, India is celebrating the song’s win at the 95th Academy Awards.

As many celebrated the outstanding feat, Dr. Philipp Ackermann, German Ambassador to India, took to the streets of Old Delhi to dance to the beat of the song.

The Ambassador and several members of his team performed a flash mob near the Red Fort to the tune of Naatu Naatu. The video was even posted on his Twitter account.

Along with the video, he wrote: “Germans can’t dance? Me and my Indo-German team celebrated #NaatuNaatu’s win at #Oscar95 in Old Delhi. Well, far from perfect. But fun! Thanks, @rokEmbIndia for inspiring us. Congratulations and welcome @alwaysRamCharan and @RRRMovieteam! #embassychallange is open. Who’s next?”

Meanwhile, last month, 50 Korean diplomats and embassy staff, as well as Indian and Korean nationals working at the Korean Cultural Center, danced to Naatu Naatu.

Naatu Naatu is the first Telugu song to be nominated for an Oscar in the Best Original Song category. He beat out famous names like Rihanna and Lady Gaga to win the honor. Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava, along with composer and director SS Rajamouli and main stars Jr NTR and Ram Charan attended the awards ceremony.

Lyrical composition by M. M. Keeravani, high-intensity renditions by singers Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava, distinctive choreography by Prem Rakshith and lyrics by Chandrabose are all contributing factors to the success of this popular RRR song.
