Bill Maher responds to liberal criticism by saying he has changed: ‘Your ideas are stupid’

Comedian Bill Maher responded to critics saying he had changed during a CNN interview on Sunday, suggesting it was the left that had changed, and he wouldn’t hesitate to call it out.

Maher told CNN’s Fareed Zakaria several things he believes have changed on the left, as part of his media tour to discuss his new book, “What This Comedian Said Will Shock You.”

Zakaria, another recent skeptic of some of the progressive arguments beloved of the left, chimed in and said, “Common sense is common sense.”

Maher did not become Republican-friendly simply because of his derision of the far left. He said presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump “thinks elections only matter when we win” and sharply criticized the Republican Party for being undemocratic and threatening the future of the country.

He called Trump a “sociopath” during his interview with Zakaria.

“The View” co-host Sunny Hostin bluntly told Maher during a recent interview that he had “changed,” after telling the show that he considered himself a “liberal of the old school.

The comedian also expressed concern that young men have lost their ability to communicate and talk to women.

“I think it’s going to be a very big problem. I think young men thought it was a good thing when Tinder came along.
