President Biden told a crowd gathered at the White House on Friday that he had “four granddaughters,” but did not mention his fifth granddaughter born out of wedlock to Hunter Biden and Lunden Roberts.
“Look, there’s a lot of things we can be proud of, and the way women’s sport has evolved is just amazing. And you change the – it’s not just in sports. only one thing, and that’s really cool to see since I have four granddaughters,” Biden said at an event celebrating the LSU women’s basketball team’s national championship victory.

Biden has repeatedly refused to acknowledge Hunter’s estranged 4-year-old daughter whenever he talks about his grandchildren, most recently at a Take Our Kids to Work Day event at the White House last month. .
December 2022 marked the second Christmas season in a row that the White House let the granddaughter out of a display of Christmas stockings, and before that, in 2020, Biden falsely said he and first lady Jill Biden had five grandchildren, forgetting Handsome then-newborn Biden, but completely omitting the fifth granddaughter.
The stumble then forced a correction from the first lady, who said she had six grandchildren, still leaving out the granddaughter, who would bring the total number of grandchildren to seven.

Earlier this month, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre brushed off a reporter’s question about the granddaughter, saying she was “not going to talk about it” since the podium when asked why Biden hadn’t acknowledged her yet.
Roberts met Hunter while working as a stripper at a Washington, D.C. club while dating Hallie Biden — the widow of his late brother, Joseph R. “Beau” Biden III — according to the New York Post .
