The Arkansas Razorbacks football team will have one fewer player in the running for starting quarterback KJ Jefferson’s backup position this summer.
Redshirt junior transfer Kade Renfro was dropped from the squad on Thursday following accusations of sexual assault and harassment which were posted on social media earlier this week.

“Upon becoming aware of the allegations against a student-athlete earlier this week, we immediately notified the university’s Title IX office of the allegations,” the university’s athletic department said in a statement. “The student-athlete is no longer a member of the football team.”
The school added that it had “informed the appropriate offices on our campus” of the charges against Renfro.

An anonymous Instagram account collected the allegations against Renfro, including a long alleged history of sexual assault and harassment over the years, according to CBS Sports. The account has since been deleted. Renfro has since deleted his social media activity following the accusations.
Photos only showed a woman with multiple bruises on her neck as well as alleged assault and harassment. The initial story where the allegations surfaced was called “Kade Renfro is a rapist!”
He was not charged with a cirm.

Renfro was a standout high school football player in Stephenville, Texas and signed up with Ole Miss in 2020. He transferred to Arkansas in 2021 and suffered a knee injury. He injured his knee last year and didn’t play.
